Content:

Objective of the course is to mediate the principles of posterior segment surgery, including buckling procedures, vitrectomy techniques, established and new indications for surgery.
One part of the two-day symposium will be a wet lab, where vitrectomy can be performed on cadaver eyes. Interactive panel discussions will provide a forum where different opinions can help to get a better insight into the topic of posterior segment surgery. This year the course will focus especially on solving problems that occur in the posterior segment after complications during anterior segment surgery.
