AbstractP 185 The usefulness of the OCT in patients with corneal leucoma as a decision criteria for PK Mrukwa-Kominek E., Gierek-Ciaciura S., Pasternak A. Department of Ophthalmology, Silesian School of Medicine Katowice Objective: The authors present the clinical state, slit-lamp biomicroscopic examination, confocal microscopy, UBM and anterior segment OCT for anterior segment imaging in a patient with an opaque cornea. Case presentation: A 76-year-old female patient was in our control because of corneal degenerations. She underwent PTK 5 years before. She came regularly to control visits, the whole observation period was without pain and complications. Results: The patient suffered strong pain 2 weeks after she had had an accident she stumbled on the stairs. The UCVA of the right eye was light perception. The IOP of the right eye was 48 mmHg. No IOP diminishing after pharmacological and TSCPC treatment was observed. The IOP ranged between 34 and 45 mmHg. The patient was qualified for eyeball enucleation but after examination with OCT Visante the authors changed their minds and decision on PK. The treatment was successful IOP ranged between 15 an 18 mmHg. Conclusions: In this paper the usefulness of the OCT examination for early diagnosis and making a decision on therapeutic PK was presented.
