AbstractP 198 The efficiency of new methods of phosphenelectropuncture in the treatment of patients with accommodative dysfunction Ponomarchuk V., Terleckaja O., Stoylovska O. The Filatov Institute of Eye Diseases and Tissue Therapy, Odessa/UA Objective: The scientific work is dedicated to increasing the efficiency treatment of patients with accommodative dysfunction, using new method of phosphenelectropuncture (PHEP). Methods: 100 patients aged 6-17 years old with accommodative dysfunction were examined. For the treatment we proposed the new method (PHEP) which based on the electrical stimulation of paraorbital biological active points (BAP) by electrical impulse with the triple threshold power which induce the phosphen-phenomenon in the eyes. The results of treatment were estimated by the indexes of accommodation, visual acuity, fusial function, electric and light sensitivity, conductivity of BAP and amplitude of pupil. Results: It was determined that after the treatment by PHEP the visual acuity improved in 92% of patients on 40%. The accommodative indices improved twice - from 1.49±0.08 D to 3.06±0.12 D. The fusial reserves improved on 20%, the light and electric sensitivity improved on 17% and 9%. The pupil square was decreased from 17.16±0.22 mm2 before treatment to 10.8±0.19 mm2 after treatment. It was normalized the blood supply of the eye and conductivity of BAP. The results of treatment depended on the type of eye refraction. The supposely mechanisms of PHEP are connected with the structures of Autonomic Nervous System. Conclusions: The new method of PHEP has the high efficacy in treatment of the patients with accommodative dysfunction accompanying low degries of ametropies.
